for the Untixx app.

2. What this is about

Untixx is an app for pupils. It shows the timetable, manages homework and exams, reminds you about them, and – if the child wants – lets parents take a look.

As of this version, Untixx includes a server of its own (api.untixx.com). It keeps the data of one account the same across several devices and carries parent mode. What is stored there and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Untixx is not an official school service and is not connected to WebUntis, Untis GmbH or any school authority. The name "Untixx" does not imply any such connection.

3. Use – with and without an account

Use is voluntary and currently completely free: there are no purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising and no feature that costs money.

An account is not required. Timetable, homework, exams, reminders and the watch app work fully without signing in; everything then stays on the device. You only need an account for two things: syncing between several devices, and parent mode.

You must not use Untixx to harass or threaten others or to infringe their rights. Content you enter must be lawful. You are responsible for what you enter.

4. The Untixx account

• An account is created with an email address and a password or via "Sign in with Apple". The address must be confirmed through a link sent by email; before that there is no access to data.
• Please use an address you control yourself, and choose a password you do not use anywhere else. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
• An account belongs to one person. Do not pass it on.
• Under Settings → Account the app shows which devices are signed in, and lets you sign out everywhere.
• The provider may suspend or delete an account if it is plainly being used for unlawful purposes or to harass others, or if the server cannot otherwise be kept running. Where possible and reasonable, you will be warned first.

5. Use by minors

Untixx is aimed at pupils and is mostly used by minors. Anyone who does not yet have full legal capacity under the law of their country uses Untixx with the consent of a parent or guardian. There are no in-app purchases, so no money can be spent inside Untixx.

6. Parent mode

Parent mode is voluntary and always starts with the child:

• Only the child can create an invitation code. It is eight characters long and expires after 30 minutes.
• A parent connects by typing the code into Untixx. Both sides need an account for this.
• After connecting, nothing is shared yet. The child decides individually whether timetable, homework and exams are visible – separately for every connected person.
• Anything not shared is never sent to the parent side in the first place. Notes on homework and the topic of an exam always stay with the child.
• Parents can only look; they cannot change anything.
• Either side can end the connection at any time. Nothing flows after that, and the messages and nudges of that connection are deleted.

Messages only ever travel between a child and the parents that child invited. There are no public contents, no search for other people and no contact with strangers.

Parent mode is a everyday helper, not a surveillance tool. It shows only what the child shares, and the child can see at any time who is connected.

7. Cost

Untixx is currently completely free. The app contains no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising. Nothing is billed and there is no payment processing in the app.

If that changes in a future version, it will be stated clearly here and in the app beforehand. Features you have used until then will not be taken away from you afterwards.

8. Availability and warranty

Untixx is built with care, but without any assurance that it will always run without faults. There is no guaranteed availability for the server; it may be unreachable for maintenance, updates or technical reasons.

The app is designed to cope with that: everything you enter is saved on the device first and synced later. An unreachable server therefore does not mean data loss – only that other devices and parent mode are temporarily out of date. The app says so when it cannot reach the server.

Should the server be shut down permanently, that will be announced here and in the app with reasonable notice; your data can be downloaded beforehand under Settings → Account → My data, and the app keeps working without an account afterwards.

Untixx does not replace an official source. Always check important dates – exams in particular – where your school publishes them.

9. Your content

What you enter stays yours. The provider acquires no rights to it and does not use your content for its own purposes – neither for advertising nor for training software. It is stored and transmitted only as far as needed for the app and for the parent mode you switched on yourself.

10. Ending use

You can stop using Untixx at any time: in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, and by removing Untixx from your device. This deletes the account, all content on the server, all parent connections including their messages, and all signed-in devices. There is nothing to cancel because there are no paid contracts.

11. Changes

These terms may be adjusted when the app changes. The version published here at the time applies. Substantial changes will be announced in the app.

12. Liability

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law. For simple negligence the provider is liable only for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise liability is excluded.

13. Governing law

Austrian law applies, unless mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside say otherwise.
